Overview
A law firm is seeking a Patent Agent or Patent Attorney with at least 2 years of law firm experience to support its patent prosecution and technology practice. Candidates may be based in New York, Houston, Philadelphia, or Washington, D.C.
Responsibilities
- Draft and prosecute patent applications through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
- Support due diligence efforts
- Manage multiple assignments from partners and clients
- Meet internal and client-driven deadlines
Requirements
- Registered to practice before the USPTO
- Licensed to practice law in the respective state if applicable
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Strong time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

- This is a non-partner track position

Compensation & Benefits
- Target annual pay range for New York City and Washington, D.C.: $150,000 - $200,000 plus performance-based bonuses
- Compensation for other locations will be based on local market rates
- Actual pay varies depending on experience and skillset
