Overview

A healthcare-focused legal role is available for a Patient Access Attorney to support clients in the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors. This position involves advising on patient support programs with a focus on compliance and Fraud & Abuse risk management related to copay, HUB, and reimbursement support structures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal counsel on the design, implementation, and oversight of patient support programs, including copay assistance, HUB services, reimbursement support, and services for high-cost and biologic therapies.
  • Advise on Fraud & Abuse risk management, including compliance with the Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, and related laws as they apply to patient support and access programs.
  • Review and assess program structures, vendor arrangements, and patient-facing services such as injection support and access services to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, Market Access, Compliance, and Patient Services teams to support compliant execution of patient access initiatives.

Requirements

  • Direct, hands-on experience advising on patient support programs within pharmaceutical or biotech companies.
  • Strong expertise in Fraud & Abuse laws and their application to copay assistance, HUB services, and reimbursement support programs.
  • Experience working within large pharmaceutical manufacturer infrastructures or similarly complex patient support environments.
  • Active legal license in good standing in a U.S. state.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated total compensation for full-time attorney roles ranges from $104,500 to $325,000 per year.
  • Compensation for non-attorney roles ranges from $71,250 to $309,750 per year.
  • Compensation decisions consider experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
