Overview

This role involves remote document review work for current and upcoming REMOTE projects. The employer is seeking licensed attorneys in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Document review experience is helpful but not required. Many projects use the Relativity review platform, and training is offered for recent law school graduates and career changers. JDs are encouraged to apply.

A Project Attorney role is available, with the possibility of promotion to a Full-Time Staff Attorney position.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough reviews of legal documents (including contracts, emails, memos, and more) to identify crucial information and assess relevance to ongoing legal matters.
  • Apply analytical skills and legal knowledge to ensure accuracy and compliance with established protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals (attorneys, paralegals, and litigation support teams) to meet project objectives.
  • Organize and manage reviewed documents using efficient document management systems.
  • Perform targeted legal research to support case development and strategy.
  • Maintain strict client confidentiality and comply with data protection regulations, following professional and ethical standards.
  • Comply with the organization’s information security policies and report security concerns, weaknesses, and breaches, consistent with its ISMS policy and the ISO 27001 standard.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Active and in good standing with the Bar Association in your relevant jurisdiction.
  • Home computer with “broadband” internet connection.
  • Understanding of legal concepts, terminology, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in legal research using relevant databases and resources.
  • Excellent attention to detail and outstanding analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with eDiscovery platforms and document review software (e.g., Relativity, Reveal, Logikcull, etc.).
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite, particularly Teams, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience or demonstrated understanding of handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Highly organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly pay rate: $24.00.
  • Overtime opportunities on select projects paid at time and a half.

Location

Remote document review projects with standard hours of operation of 7am-7pm in your local time zone and core business hours of 10am-3pm. You are flexible to create your own schedule within the hours of operation, provided you actively communicate with your review manager.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior document review experience is a plus, but not required.
