Overview
A nationally recognized Am Law 100 law firm is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney to join its San Diego, CA; Orange County, CA; or Los Angeles office. Remote or hybrid work is available.
Responsibilities
- Manage civil litigation matters in both state and federal courts
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other substantive court filings
- Conduct legal research and manage written discovery
- Lead complex electronically stored information (ESI) discovery processes
- Utilize AI-powered legal technology to enhance document review, legal research, and drafting
- Assist with depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
- Develop litigation strategy and work directly with clients on complex matters
Requirements
- 3+ years of civil litigation experience
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Experience managing discovery and complex litigation matters
- Familiarity with ESI discovery and litigation technology preferred
- Interest or experience using AI-based legal tools is a plus
- Excellent oral advocacy and communication abilities
- Ability to independently manage assignments in a fast-paced environment
- Trial experience preferred but not required
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active California and/or Nevada Bar admission required
