Overview
A partner organization is seeking a Commercial Counsel to join their Commercial Contracts Team remotely. This role involves leading commercial transactions that support the delivery of mental health solutions to employers, with a focus on improving access to care and healthcare outcomes. The position requires providing strategic legal guidance, negotiating and drafting contracts, and enhancing operational efficiencies and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end negotiation of commercial contracts, including service agreements and confidentiality agreements.
- Draft bespoke agreements and develop custom contract language for unique partnerships.
- Identify legal and business risks and provide clear advice to sales and operational teams.
- Utilize AI tools to improve the contracting process and support operational enhancements.
- Collaborate with internal experts to ensure compliance with healthcare laws and policies.
Requirements
- Law degree from an accredited institution and valid state bar membership.
- Minimum of 5 years of legal experience in-house or at a law firm.
- Proven expertise in negotiating complex technology and healthcare contracts.
- Strong drafting and redlining skills for commercial documents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to balance legal protection with business growth objectives.
- Willingness to independently manage new areas of law.
