Overview
A remote Legal Counsel position is available to provide essential legal advice and support to various internal teams. This role focuses on ensuring compliance and supporting strategic initiatives, impacting both internal and external stakeholders. The position requires legal expertise combined with effective communication skills to ensure all legal practices meet regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide tactical legal advice and support to internal clients including PBM, pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, and government programs.
- Conduct research, draft documents, and handle transactional work related to legal matters; may manage litigation efforts for assigned business areas.
- Advise internal clients on compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate policies.
- Develop and facilitate legal training sessions and investigate issues as needed.
- Provide client training on legal principles.
- Coordinate partnerships with in-house and outside legal resources when appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree.
- Current license to practice law in your state of residence.
- Minimum of 5 years practicing as an attorney or related legal experience in a regulatory or compliance role.
- At least 3 years of experience working with managed care companies or other healthcare clients.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities successfully.
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport and build relationships at all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to simplify complex concepts into clear and compelling communications.
- Expert communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Compensation & Benefits
