Overview
A leading AI data lab focused on training frontier models and evaluating AI agents is seeking a Legal Specialist contractor to support the development of advanced AI systems. This remote role involves applying legal expertise to contract review, negotiation, case analysis, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance to mitigate legal risks and support corporate transactions. No prior AI experience is required; domain knowledge in law is the primary qualification.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive review, drafting, and negotiation of legal contracts to optimize business outcomes while managing associated risks.
- Analyze legal cases and perform in-depth research to provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Support litigation efforts and dispute resolution processes by preparing documentation and collaborating with internal and external legal counsel.
- Assess regulatory compliance and assist with due diligence activities related to corporate transactions, mergers, and acquisitions.
- Design system prompts and rubrics tailored for legal applications, engaging in multi-turn conversations with AI agents to ensure task accuracy, coherence, and relevance.
- Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and ethical conduct in all legal processes and communications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, enhance, and optimize legal tools, workflows, or applications, leveraging legal expertise and industry knowledge.
