Overview
The organization is seeking a highly qualified junior finance associate with strong law firm experience and academic credentials. This is a fully remote position for attorneys licensed to practice law.
The role involves debt financing matters, including large syndicated financings and traditional project financings. A solid corporate law foundation is important, along with experience working in the renewable energy space.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the junior attorney on complex financings in the renewable energy field, including drafting, reviewing, revising, and negotiating transaction documents and ancillary agreements.
- Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and other professionals on finance matters.
- Adhere to firm policies, practices, and priorities.
- Perform other duties as requested by firm management.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience at a law firm, ideally in a practice serving clients in the renewable energy and related industries.
- Experience working on large syndicated financings and drafting related ancillary agreements (e.g., reliance letters, resolutions, opinion backup certificates, etc.).
- Ability to confidently manage checklists on large complex transactions and move various deal components forward.
- Strong organization, drafting, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Team-focused outlook, including a commitment to mentoring junior attorneys.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus strong organizational, planning, and project management skills; ability to simultaneously handle a variety of complex matters under strict deadlines and pressure.
- Ability to work and collaborate effectively in a remote work environment.
- Admission to and in good standing with the Bar of the applicant’s state of residence.

Compensation & Benefits
- 1,200 annual billable hour requirement, with bonuses for exceeding such requirement and for origination of new clients and matters based on a percentage of total revenue received.
- Base salary of $175,000+. The base salary will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors.
