Overview
This role is for a mid-level Project Development Associate with law firm experience to support renewable energy project development and contract drafting/negotiation. The position is fully remote and available to candidates licensed to practice law in their state of residence.
Responsibilities
- Support the team with project development in the renewable energy field.
- Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and other professionals on project development matters.
- Draft and negotiate renewable energy contracts, including (as applicable) EPCs, O&Ms, and PPAs.
- Adhere to firm policies, practices, and priorities.
- Perform other duties as requested by firm management.
Requirements
- Ideally 6–8 years’ experience at a law firm, ideally in a practice serving clients in the renewable energy and related industries.
- Experience negotiating a variety of traditional renewable energy contracts (EPCs, O&Ms, PPAs, etc.).
- Strong deal management, organization, drafting, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Team-focused outlook with a focus on mentoring junior attorneys.
- Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Ability to work and collaborate effectively in a remote work environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong organizational and planning skills.
- Capacity to simultaneously handle a variety of complex matters under strict deadlines and pressure.
- Admission to and in good standing with the Bar of the applicant’s state of residence.

Compensation & Benefits
- 1,200 annual billable hour requirement, with hourly bonus for exceeding such requirement
- Base salary of $235,000 + . The base salary for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors.
