Overview
A tech-driven immigration law firm based in New York is seeking an experienced Senior Business Immigration Paralegal to join their legal team. The firm specializes in U.S. business immigration and uses proprietary case management technology to streamline processes and ensure high-quality filings.
Responsibilities
- Own the final review process for business immigration filings before submission.
- Review USCIS and related government forms, supporting evidence, and filing packages for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Ensure exhibits are complete, properly labeled, correctly ordered, and cross-referenced within filing packages.
- Identify and resolve issues such as missing signatures, incorrect dates, and inconsistencies across case files.
- Maintain high quality standards at scale, ensuring filings meet firm and case-specific requirements.
- Review cover letters, forms, and supporting documents for clarity, grammar, formatting, and presentation.
- Collaborate closely with attorneys and paralegals to provide feedback, resolve issues, and advance cases efficiently.
- Escalate legal or strategic concerns to attorneys when necessary.
- Contribute to improving processes, templates, checklists, and quality control systems.
- Support a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement through strong systems and attention to detail.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience in U.S. business immigration.
- Deep understanding of employment-based immigration filings and supporting evidence.
- Exceptional attention to detail, able to catch inconsistencies, missing documents, and formatting issues.
- Strong quality and compliance focus with experience reviewing final filings before submission.
- Excellent written English skills with the ability to clarify and polish complex information.
- Hands-on experience with E-1, E-2, L-1, H-1B, EB-2, and EB-3 PERM filings.
- Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Good judgment to determine when issues can be resolved independently or require attorney involvement.
- Comfortable using legal technology, case management systems, and digital workflows.
- Collaborative mindset, able to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience reviewing complex business immigration cases and identifying potential issues early.
- Background in final review, quality control, or audit-focused roles within immigration practice.
- Proficiency in Turkish is a plus.
