Overview
A publicly traded technology company headquartered in Austin, Texas, is seeking a Senior Paralegal with experience in corporate transactions and trade compliance to provide temporary, part-time legal support. This role supports the in-house legal team on intellectual property management, trade compliance, philanthropy, and commercial agreements. The position is remote and expected to last 4-6 months, with 20-40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Support trade compliance functions, including export/import documentation, classification tracking, and coordination with internal stakeholders and external agencies
- Serve as a key point of contact with outside intellectual property counsel, foreign associates, and filing agents to maintain patent and trademark matters on schedule
- Assist with the company’s philanthropic giving program by tracking commitments, processing requests, and coordinating with community partners
- Collaborate with internal teams, external clients, and vendors
- Adapt to evolving processes and new filing/management systems
Requirements
- Senior-level paralegal or legal support experience, preferably in a corporate or in-house legal environment
- Exposure to import and export trade compliance is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of patents and trademarks is advantageous
- Proactive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and other paralegals
- Quick learner with adaptability to new systems and processes
Position Details

Compensation & Benefits
- Annualized pay range (full-time equivalent): $110,000 to $140,000
- Contract pay rates depend on experience, qualifications, location, and market factors
