Responsibilities

• Manage criminal defense cases from start to finish, developing and executing defense strategies.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and investigations to build evidence-driven defenses.
• Lead client communications, set clear expectations, and provide strategic legal counsel.
• Draft and file motions, briefs, and pleadings that are precise and persuasive.
• Negotiate effectively to achieve dismissals, reductions, or favorable resolutions.
• Represent clients confidently in court, delivering focused arguments and strategic cross-examinations.
• Stay current with evolving statutes, case law, and legal trends to maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and an active Minnesota law license in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on criminal defense experience or closely related litigation experience with courtroom exposure.
• Strong legal research, persuasive writing, and strategic negotiation skills.
• Courtroom confidence and sound judgment under pressure.
