Overview
This role involves applying senior legal expertise to assist in training advanced AI systems. Responsibilities include creating, reviewing, and improving realistic legal tasks, analyzing complex legal issues, applying relevant law, and refining AI outputs to ensure accuracy, clarity, and practical usefulness.
Responsibilities
- Produce high-difficulty legal tasks and gold-standard solutions.
- Review and calibrate work related to contracts, agreements, policies, legal research, regulatory interpretation, and business-facing advice.
- Identify risks, edge cases, and ambiguous evaluation standards while maintaining consistent quality.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of legal practice experience at Senior Associate, Counsel, or equivalent level within a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Juris Doctor degree plus active bar admission, or an equivalent legal qualification and professional license applicable to your region.
- Advanced experience in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and revising commercial contracts, agreements, policies, or other legal documents.
- Strong legal research skills, analytical judgment, and the ability to provide clear, practical advice.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, or quality assurance is beneficial but not required.
Engagement and Selection
- The project duration is approximately nine weeks.
- Availability for at least four hours per day with some overlap with Pacific Time is required.
- Depending on project needs and candidate interest, there may be an option to work up to 40 hours per week; however, weekly hours are not guaranteed.
- The selection process includes a job interest form, a role assessment, and onboarding steps for selected candidates.
Compensation
- Hourly rate ranges from $63 to $98 USD.
Location
- Candidates should have availability overlapping Pacific Time hours.
