Overview
A partner organization is seeking a Remote In-House Counsel to ensure that contracts and legal operations comply with company policies and legal standards. This role involves drafting and negotiating contracts, conducting legal research, and collaborating with various corporate functions to provide legal guidance and enhance legal process efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support contract negotiations and resolve legal issues.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including procurement and finance, to provide legal guidance.
- Assist in developing and implementing compliance programs and policies.
- Manage and execute processes for resolving contract disputes and unpaid fees.
- Provide legal support in areas such as litigation and employment law.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- 5-7 years of experience in contract drafting and negotiation, preferably in an in-house setting.
- Strong understanding of contract law and legal principles.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Experience managing litigation and negotiating disputes.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in risk management and compliance.
