Overview
A leading technology company is seeking a Senior Litigation Counsel to manage complex, high-profile litigation and regulatory enforcement matters. This role requires a seasoned litigator with strong strategic judgment and a pragmatic, business-oriented approach, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategy for significant litigation and regulatory enforcement matters from pre-litigation through resolution
- Advise senior leadership on legal risks, enforcement trends, and business impacts, especially in fintech, payments, and data use
- Manage and collaborate closely with outside counsel to ensure high-quality, efficient outcomes
- Personally handle critical aspects of cases, including legal strategy, discovery, and key filings
- Manage complex disputes involving class actions, commercial litigation, privacy, and consumer protection
- Work closely with other legal teams such as Policy, Product, Regulatory, and Corporate to align on risk and strategy
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Compliance, and Risk teams to proactively identify and mitigate issues in line with business priorities
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active bar membership
- 10+ years of litigation experience at a leading law firm, government agency, or in-house legal department
- Proven experience leading complex litigation and/or regulatory enforcement matters; securities litigation experience is a plus
- Expertise in class actions, commercial disputes, privacy, and/or financial regulatory enforcement
- Experience with litigation for a public company, including familiarity with financial reporting, audit, and governance obligations
- Strong judgment with the ability to translate legal risk into practical business guidance
- Exceptional collaboration skills with a track record of working effectively across legal disciplines and cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and advocacy skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels
- Interest in AI-driven tools for litigation management, discovery, and related workflows
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary ranges based on geographic location (cost of labor zones):
- Zone A: $276,800–$415,200 USD
- Zone B: $276,800–$415,200 USD
- Zone C: $276,800–$415,200 USD
- Zone D: $276,800–$415,200 USD
- Compensation determined by skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions
