Overview

A partner organization is seeking a Senior Paralegal based in Mexico to join their global legal operations team supporting a fast-growing technology environment. This role involves managing critical legal processes such as commercial agreements, compliance activities, corporate governance, and strategic initiatives. The position offers exposure to complex projects including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), financing activities, intellectual property, and international expansion.

This is a remote-first role requiring a proactive, detail-oriented professional comfortable managing multiple priorities independently. The Senior Paralegal will work cross-functionally with business teams to improve legal workflows through technology, automation, and AI-enabled solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage review, processing, and tracking of standard commercial agreements including NDAs, employment agreements, contractor agreements, and equity-related documents, ensuring timely turnaround.
  • Support contract lifecycle management by maintaining accurate databases, coordinating signatures, handling amendments, extensions, and terminations, and improving document accessibility.
  • Analyze contractual risks and collaborate with legal team members to identify potential issues and communicate recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Oversee corporate governance activities for domestic and international entities, including recordkeeping, filings, annual reports, and organizational updates.
  • Assist with strategic legal projects such as mergers and acquisitions, financing activities, intellectual property portfolio management, and stock plan administration.
  • Support equity administration processes using relevant platforms and ensure accurate maintenance of corporate records.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize legal workflows, introduce automation solutions, and leverage AI tools to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote environment while managing competing priorities and delivering high-quality internal support.

Requirements

  • Experience as a paralegal, legal operations specialist, or similar legal support role.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial contracts, contract workflows, and legal document management processes.
  • Experience supporting corporate governance activities, compliance processes, and entity management.
  • Ability to analyze agreements, identify potential risks, and communicate findings clearly.
  • Familiarity with M&A support, financing projects, intellectual property processes, or equity administration is a plus.
  • Experience using contract management systems, corporate recordkeeping platforms, or tools such as Carta.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered productivity tools such as Gemini or similar solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects autonomously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with global teams.
