Overview
A boutique litigation firm is seeking a Senior Review Attorney to join its litigation support team. This role involves strategic leadership and hands-on execution across a variety of matters, including complex, high-stakes litigation and fast-paced, time-sensitive cases. The Senior Review Attorney will design and implement document review workflows, utilize advanced review technology, and ensure quality and consistency throughout discovery efforts. This position requires prior document review leadership experience, strong proficiency with Relativity, and the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment. Candidates must be barred attorneys admitted to practice in California. The role is hybrid, requiring on-site presence in the Los Angeles office two days per week.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement matter-specific document review workflows considering scope, deadlines, and complexity using advanced Relativity features
- Develop and enforce quality assurance processes to maintain accuracy, consistency, and defensibility in document reviews
- Supervise internal teams and external contract reviewers by evaluating work product and monitoring performance metrics
- Analyze staffing needs to align resources with review timelines effectively
- Provide hands-on review support including second-level review, quality checks, and preparation of privilege logs as necessary
- Collaborate with attorneys to develop and finalize review protocols and documentation standards
- Serve as an internal subject matter expert by creating and delivering training on document review fundamentals and best practices
- Identify and implement workflow improvements leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and review quality
- Manage multiple document review projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards and meeting deadlines
- Stay informed on developments in eDiscovery technology and industry practices to continuously improve review operations
- Travel occasionally to support specific matters or client needs
Qualifications & Skills
- Juris Doctor degree with active bar admission in good standing in California
- Several years of document review experience, including leadership or oversight responsibilities
- Strong hands-on expertise in Relativity, including coding layout configuration, analytics tools, TAR workflows, and Review Center
- Clear and effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to perform under pressure and tight deadlines
- Collaborative work style with a solutions-focused mindset
- Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and a strong interest in process optimization and continuous improvement
Compensation & Benefits
- Exempt role with an expected salary range of $140,000 to $160,000, commensurate with experience, training, skills, qualifications, and market factors

- Hybrid position requiring on-site work two days per week at the Los Angeles office
