Overview

The organization is seeking a Senior Specialist Legal Editor with expertise in capital markets and significant experience advising startups to join its Capital Markets & Corporate Governance team in the United States. This role involves creating and maintaining practical legal content tailored to startup companies and supporting the development of AI-powered legal solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Research, draft, and maintain clear, current, and practical legal know-how content addressing startup company needs for various products and initiatives.
  • Monitor legal, practice, and market developments impacting startups to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
  • Support the development of customer-focused AI-powered tools by applying legal expertise and identifying methods that integrate content development with AI-driven legal solutions.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to innovate technology development, product enhancements, and AI integration.
  • Assist in the development and application of internal AI editorial tools.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external law firm contributors and industry groups to ensure content reflects market practice and meets customer needs.
  • Support sales, marketing, and other business areas, including responding to customer inquiries.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience as a lawyer in a law firm or in-house, with significant experience working with startup companies.
  • Strong technical skills, including effective use of generative AI technologies to enhance productivity and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility to work on diverse projects within the generative AI space and emerging technologies.
  • Deep curiosity about the intersection of AI and legal practice, with a desire to develop legal prompt engineering skills and innovative content development methods.
  • Understanding of current market issues and legislative proposals affecting U.S. startups.
  • Knowledge of the needs and priorities of law firm attorneys, in-house counsel, and startup professionals.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly and concisely in plain English.
  • Innovative and agile thinker with strong time management, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Enthusiasm for working in a dynamic editorial team and comfort with rapid change.

Candidates selected for a second interview will be required to submit a writing sample.

  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory environments impacting startups.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $119,700 USD - $222,300 USD, depending on knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.

Location

This role can be performed remotely from a home office anywhere in the United States if the candidate does not live near an office location.
