Overview
A legal services organization is seeking a Document Review Senior Consultant to design and execute e-discovery best practices for clients. This operational role involves managing discovery projects, client relationships, and teams of attorneys. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of eDiscovery and a passion for leading teams to deliver superior outcomes.
This is a remote position open to applicants nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Manage e-discovery projects from collections through document production and deposition preparation
- Manage client relationships and identify opportunities for growth, escalating to senior leadership as appropriate
- Coach, train, and develop direct reports focusing on individual growth, team succession planning, client support, and project budgets and timelines
- Set clear expectations, regularly evaluate performance, provide feedback, and assist employees in developing action plans for improvement
- Train project team attorneys on document review technology and operational best practices
- Create, track, and manage budget estimates for clients; ensure projects adhere to budget limits
- Design and implement review workflows tailored to case-specific legal challenges to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Integrate new technologies and processes into existing workflows
- Collaborate with offshore teams to ensure seamless delivery of quality work products
- Identify and escalate legal and operational risks
- Comply with information security policies and report any security concerns or breaches
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar licensure
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience independently managing document review projects from collection through production in a law firm or service provider environment
- Strong technical proficiency with relevant industry platforms and tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build client trust and buy-in
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple competing priorities
- Proven team player with ability to collaborate effectively both internally and externally
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated salary range: $100,000 to $115,000 annually, reflecting factors such as education, experience, licensure, and geography
