Sr. Corporate and M&A Attorney (Part Time, Remote)

Overview

An entrepreneurial law firm is seeking a Senior Corporate and M&A Attorney for a fully remote position. This role offers flexibility for part-time or full-time engagement, with opportunities to build and grow a legal practice, potentially leading to partnership and leadership within the firm.

Responsibilities

• Handle corporate work, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) deals, and manage important client relationships independently.
• Assist with the firm’s clients and contribute to business development.
• Collaborate with a small team serving sophisticated clients across various industries, including entrepreneurial and larger companies.
• Participate in minimal travel, such as an annual team retreat and occasional conferences or client meetings.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in any U.S. state; remote work experience is preferred as the firm has operated virtually for over 10 years.
• Minimum of 5 years of quality experience in law firm or in-house legal department M&A work.
• Proven ability to independently manage significant aspects of M&A and other transactional deals.
• Strong client relationship skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the wealth management or registered investment advisor (RIA) industry is a significant plus but not required.
