Overview
A partner organization is seeking a Remote In-House Counsel to support legal operations and contract management. This role is essential for ensuring contracts and legal processes comply with company policies and legal standards. The position involves collaboration with various corporate functions to provide legal guidance and improve legal process efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support contract negotiations and resolve legal issues.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as procurement and finance to provide legal advice.
- Assist in developing and implementing compliance programs and policies.
- Manage and execute processes for resolving contract disputes and unpaid fees.
- Provide legal support in areas including litigation and employment law.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- 5-7 years of experience in contract drafting and negotiation, preferably in an in-house legal role.
- Strong understanding of contract law and legal principles.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience managing litigation and negotiating disputes.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
