This role involves reviewing and negotiating a high volume of commercial contracts across multiple clients, primarily within the financial services sector. The position requires adherence to client-specific playbooks, delivering fast turnaround times, and providing best-in-class service to meet client needs. The role also includes direct engagement with in-house legal teams, serving as a trusted legal advisor during contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate commercial contracts such as NDAs and engagement letters across various customers.
• Ensure compliance with customer playbooks and maintain fast turnaround times.
• Engage directly with in-house legal teams at financial services companies.
• Utilize specialized software throughout the negotiation process to provide data-driven solutions and keep clients informed.
• Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and software features that improve contract review and negotiation efficiency.

Requirements

• Active license in good standing with a state Bar.
• Willingness to maintain or obtain professional indemnity insurance.
• Strong understanding or experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Experience working with Asset Management, Investment Banking, or other Financial Services clients is a plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a business-savvy and client-centric approach.
• Motivation to build a long-term professional relationship.
• Tech-savvy with the ability and willingness to learn new software tools and features.
