Overview
A private law firm specializing in public-interest cases is seeking a full-time attorney to represent U.S. Armed Forces veterans in appeals for VA disability benefits before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC) and other legal matters. The role involves working across multiple forums and collaborating with teams on various aspects of veterans law beyond appellate litigation.
Responsibilities
- Analyze case records and write legal briefs
- Electronically file necessary documents and appeals
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment
- Demonstrate initiative, dedication, strong work ethic, excellent time management, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement
Requirements
For Licensed Attorneys:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active admission to at least one State Bar
- Ability to begin employment in May 2026
For Graduating Law Students:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree expected in May 2026 or conferred in 2025 from an accredited law school
- Intention to sit for the February or July 2026 bar exam
- Ability to begin employment in May or September 2026
Experience:
- Prior experience is not required

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $70,000 - $110,000, based on experience
