Overview
This role involves serving as a legal counselor to business leaders, providing strategic legal input and guidance. The position requires partnering with business leaders to develop solutions to legal problems and challenges, with increasing responsibility for national-level and/or company-wide legal matters.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice to entities and develop solutions to legal and regulatory requirements impacting various product lines and programs.
- Serve as primary counsel supporting business functions such as business development, procurement (including bid protests), network development, operations, compliance, internal audit, and other key functions.
- Act as primary counsel to subsidiaries, providing general counsel services to business leaders.
- Advise corporate teams on solving business challenges.
- Develop and recommend legal structures for business opportunities, including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and contractual relationships.
- Draft and negotiate related contracts, policies, procedures, and other documents.
- Manage outside counsel as necessary to ensure efficient, high-quality legal services.
- Recommend and develop law-related training and preventative law activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate and/or health law.
- At least 1 year of experience with complex mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, government contract law, health law, and managed care preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in highly regulated industries preferred.
- Bar admission and currently in good standing required.
- Equivalent experience may be considered based on applicable knowledge, duties, scope, and skill reflective of the level of this position.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $171,900 - $326,900.

- Flexible work arrangements including remote, hybrid, field, or office schedules.
- Actual pay will be adjusted based on individual skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.
- Total compensation may include additional forms of incentives.
- Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
