Overview
The organization is seeking a detail-oriented attorney to join the Associate Review Team. In this role, you will review and edit Compromise and Release (C&R) agreements before they are filed with the WCAB, ensuring that each settlement is accurate, complete, and positioned for approval. This is a high-volume, deadline-driven position.
Responsibilities
- Review and edit C&R agreements and related addendums prepared by the settlement team, confirming accuracy and completeness before filing.
- Verify settlement terms against the case file, including:

- dates of injury
- body parts
- settlement amounts
- attorney fees
- permanent disability advances
- liens
- future medical provisions
- Review addendums and attachments (including Employment Separation Agreements, Medicare-related language, and other supplemental terms) for consistency with the C&R and compliance with WCAB requirements.
- Identify and correct errors, omissions, and problematic language that could result in an Order Suspending Action (OSA) or delay approval.
- Communicate clearly with Settlement Admins and internal teams about required corrections to keep documents moving through the pipeline.
- Manage a steady daily caseload by prioritizing files by urgency and deadline and ensuring settlements are filed on time.
- Maintain accurate status updates and notes in the firm’s case management system.

- Strong deadline management skills (hearing dates, filing deadlines, and client expectations).
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills to determine what requires attention first and adapt as priorities shift.
- Exceptional attention to detail; errors such as incorrect dates, amounts, or missing terms can delay a client’s settlement.

- Must be in good standing with the California State Bar.
