Overview

This role involves serving as a senior lawyer handling complex legal matters and projects on behalf of the organization. The position includes supervision and advanced legal support across energy-related transactions, commercial contracting, and business-focused legal advisory.

Handle and supervise complex energy transactions

Review and draft commercial contracts
Advise clients on business operations, emergent industry opportunities and developments, and related matters

Minimum Qualifications

8-years of professional experience in a specialized area of law
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing
Demonstrated ability to analyze legal materials and data
Excellent legal research and analytical abilities, with knowledge of federal and/or state law
Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of legal principles, practices, and procedures, with the ability to apply them to complex assignments
An LLB or JD from an accredited law school
Must be licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdictions

Preferred Qualifications

Law firm experience
4 to 8 years of professional experience drafting contracts
Experience and knowledge of the energy industry, including independent power producers and nuclear power plants
Proven legal analytical and drafting abilities
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (oral and written)
Ability to analyze legal materials and other data
Ability to work in stressful conditions under time deadlines
Ability to provide realistic risk assessments and practical advice to clients

Compensation & Benefits

Expected salary range of $192,600 to $214,000 (varies based on experience)
