Attorney

Overview

A temporary full-time Attorney position is available, requiring residency in New York City, NY. This remote role involves litigation work primarily focused on motor-vehicle accidents, property damage claims, No-Fault (PIP) claims, and premises liability cases within the New York City courts.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex legal and factual issues and conduct thorough legal research
• Develop and present defense strategies independently
• Prepare complex pleadings, written discovery, depositions, petitions for reconsideration, and trial briefs
• Collaborate with Claims Partners to achieve optimal outcomes for insured clients
• Provide timely legal advice and communication to clients on legal and factual matters
• Communicate professionally with courts, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel
• Facilitate efficient and effective case disposition
• Prepare and present witnesses and evidence at trials or hearings
• Research, draft, file, and argue appellate briefs in reviewing courts

Requirements

• Licensed attorney in the state of New York
• Minimum 10 years of experience handling cases in New York City courts
• At least 7 years of experience working on property damage claims
• Minimum 10 years of experience with No-Fault (PIP) claims in New York
• At least 10 years of experience handling premises liability cases
• Experience arguing motions and/or appeals in court for 10+ years
• Must reside in New York City, NY

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly rate: $100.00 to $110.00
• Employment type: Temporary, full-time
• Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST
