A law firm is seeking a motivated Veterans Benefits Attorney to join their remote team. This role involves handling important claims with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), providing guidance to a support team, and advocating for veterans' rights. Responsibilities
- Advocate for veterans' benefits by leading claims before the VA.
- Assist with webinars, outreach initiatives, and marketing efforts to educate and support veterans.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to paralegals and law clerks, fostering collaboration.
- Participate in Board of Veterans' Appeals (BVA) hearings and prepare appeals for the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients, offering compassionate support and expert legal advice.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and integrity.
Qualifications
- VA accreditation is required.
- Experience participating in BVA hearings.
- Licensed attorney in any U.S. state; preference given to Florida Bar membership.
- Passion for VA law and veterans benefits.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually.
