Claims Counsel

Overview

The organization is hiring a Claims Counsel to join its Claims team. This is a fully remote role supporting cyber insurance claims. The position involves adjusting cyber claims and providing outstanding customer service to clients, brokers, insureds, and claimants.

Responsibilities

• Conduct coverage analysis and drafting of claim-related letters
• Manage investigations, evaluation, and incident response activities
• Ensure reserve adequacy and timeliness; maintain claim diaries
• Coordinate management of defense and coverage counsel
• Complete reinsurance reporting
• Support claim disposition and overall claim handling strategy
• Proactively manage claims and litigation while delivering high-quality customer service
• Provide regular communication with customers, brokers, and cross-functional departments
• Prepare and deliver claim presentations (written and oral)
• Obtain authority and/or formulate appropriate action plans on difficult claims
• Market claim services and coordinate/participate in customer presentations

Requirements

• Minimum of 2–5 years of claims handling experience
• 1 year cyber experience required
• JD required
• Must obtain and retain required adjuster licenses
• Strong skills in coverage, claim evaluation, and negotiation
• Exceptional organizational and presentation skills
• Experience working collaboratively in a team environment and across work groups

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Liability experience is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

Annual estimated base salary range (United States): $100,000k-$160,000k + Bonus and Equity
