Contracts Manager

Overview

This role involves contracts management for the U.S. business unit, focusing on commercial services such as data, analysis services, consulting, and technology. Responsibilities include reviewing, drafting, and/or redlining contracts within the U.S. business area.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review legal and business terms in accordance with the contract playbook, with attorney support as needed.
• Independently manage a high volume of legal contract reviews across contract sizes (large complex contracts and small standard contracts) with minimal guidance and in line with expected turnaround times.
• Build broad knowledge of the U.S. business line and each service line and their respective products/services through reviewing and preparing agreements, plus formal and informal learning opportunities.
• Communicate and articulate concerns to the appropriate U.S. contracting center (USCC) and business representatives.
• Use business experience and acumen to identify solutions addressing client concerns while aligning to business objectives.
• Identify and support contracting efficiencies where appropriate, often in collaboration with other departments and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• 3–4 years of drafting/reviewing/redlining/negotiating contracts, preferably within a corporate legal department or contracts administration department, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Fluent English.
• Comfort and experience with legal terminology.
• Strong project management skills, along with excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and customers.
• Experience with a contracts lifecycle management system such as CONGA, Ironclad, or Agiloft is a plus.
