Overview
A leading market intelligence platform is seeking a Contract Manager within their Revenue Operations team. This role focuses on managing the commercial aspects of customer contracts to accelerate deal execution while maintaining data integrity and operational efficiency. The position reports to the Senior Director of Deal Desk & User Operation.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day intake, triage, and routing of customer contract requests using Ironclad, ensuring proper tagging, prioritization, and progress tracking.
- Review and resolve standard commercial contract changes without Legal involvement; escalate complex or high-risk issues appropriately.
- Monitor contract status and key deal milestones to proactively drive deals toward signature, especially during high-volume and quarter-end periods.
- Collaborate with Legal to translate recurring contract requests into standardized, pre-approved clauses and help operationalize legal playbooks.
- Identify repeat contract requests suitable for standardization and inclusion in the clause library.
- Ensure commercial contract terms (billing, pricing, ramps, usage, dates, price caps) are accurately captured and system-ready.
- Maintain reliable contract metadata across Ironclad and Salesforce to support downstream teams such as Finance, Billing, and Customer Success.
- Partner with RevOps Systems teams to define and validate workflows in Ironclad, Salesforce, and CPQ that support contracting operations without compromising data integrity.
- Analyze contracting workflows to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, track operational metrics, and design guidelines clarifying contract request ownership.
What You Won't Do
- Negotiate contracts directly with customers or participate in live redlining discussions.
- Draft new legal language or modify core terms and conditions.
- Make legal risk determinations or provide legal interpretations.
- Own complex contract negotiations or legal strategy.
- Serve as the primary Salesforce or CPQ system administrator.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in SaaS environments, ideally through high-growth phases and scaling beyond $600M ARR.
- Strong systems thinking with high proficiency in Salesforce, CPQ, and Ironclad.
- Proven ability to transform manual processes into documented, automated workflows.
- Deep commercial understanding of subscription models including usage-based, seat-based, ramp deals, and price caps.
- Familiarity with legal playbooks and risk tradeoffs, operating as a process engineer rather than a legal drafter.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $100,000 to $130,000 USD.
- Eligibility for performance-based bonuses and equity.
- Comprehensive benefits program.
Location
- The role is based in New York City with a global team.
