Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation (Health & Welfare) Counsel

Overview

A global Am Law 100 law firm is seeking a highly qualified Counsel to join its premier Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice. This position is available in the New York or Washington, DC office, or remotely for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel relating specifically to health and welfare benefit plans, including medical, disability, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, health reimbursement arrangements, cafeteria plans, health savings accounts, and fringe benefit plans.
• Advise clients in both mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and counseling contexts.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in employee benefits law, particularly health and welfare benefit plans.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Strong writing skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Compensation

• Estimated salary range: $300,000 to $450,000.
