Overview

This contract role offers an opportunity for experienced General Counsels to participate in a 1-month AI fellowship focused on shaping advanced AI applications in legal work. The fellowship involves contributing legal expertise to the training, evaluation, and refinement of AI systems designed for contract negotiation and review, particularly in SaaS contexts.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct simulated contract negotiations and redlining exercises to evaluate AI-generated suggestions for accuracy, risk identification, and legal soundness.
  • Review and assess AI responses to contract scenarios, providing expert feedback to enhance model performance and precision.
  • Collaborate with product and research teams to improve training data, annotation guidelines, and best practices for AI-driven contract review solutions.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 3 years of in-house legal experience focused on technology transactions, especially SaaS contract review, negotiation, and redlining.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate legal expertise into actionable feedback for AI systems.
  • Demonstrated commitment to innovation at the intersection of law and technology.
  • Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with AI, legal technology, or data annotation projects.
  • Expertise in risk mitigation strategies within SaaS contracting.
  • Record of publications or presentations on legal technology topics.

Compensation & Commitment

  • Hourly rate: $80–$105
  • Part-time with a flexible schedule
  • Minimum commitment: 5 hours per week
  • Maximum commitment: 20 hours per week
  • Fellowship duration: 1 month
