Middle Legal Counsel

Overview

The organization is growing its legal team and is seeking a versatile, sharp-minded lawyer to take ownership of corporate and commercial matters as the business expands across multiple jurisdictions. This role suits someone who thrives with autonomy, can solve problems independently, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts with partners, payment providers, and other counterparties
• Provide corporate support across a multi-jurisdictional group of companies, including corporate documentation and entity-level changes
• Support legal review of new product launches and marketing materials
• Coordinate with external legal counsel across multiple countries
• Work closely with Product, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams on day-to-day legal matters
• Help develop and improve contract templates and internal legal processes
• Support risk identification and pre-litigation matters

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of legal experience, with a strong focus on corporate law and commercial contracts
• Experience at an international law firm (ILF) — 2+ years is a strong plus
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to independently navigate non-standard situations
• High resilience and comfort with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and a fast-moving environment
• Proactive mindset—able to see tasks through without constant oversight
• English at B2/C1 level or above

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fintech, crypto, Web3, or payments
• Working knowledge of AML/KYC and GDPR
• Experience working across multiple jurisdictions simultaneously
• Comfort using AI tools (LLMs) in day-to-day legal work
