Paralegal - Medical Records

Overview

A rapidly growing personal injury law firm is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal Medical Records professional to join their team. This is a 100% remote position.

Responsibilities

• Process medical records and billing requests from attorneys
• Draft and submit medical records and billing requests for retrieval
• Track and process received medical records and bills
• Follow up on pending requests and those needing additional information or documentation
• Collaborate with the team to provide updates on the status of medical records
• Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
• Verify completion and accuracy of received records and resolve issues with incomplete records
• Communicate with internal teams and providers regarding records
• Verify all provider information
• Manage files, including organizing and filing mail and faxes daily

Requirements

• College degree or paralegal certificate required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in legal or medical field
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow processes and procedures
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
• Outgoing and team-oriented
• Trustworthy with a commitment to confidentiality
• Willingness to assist with a variety of tasks
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong multi-tasking abilities
• Previous law firm experience is a plus

• Hourly pay range: $22 - $24
