Senior GL - Auto Defense Litigation Attorney

Overview

A national law firm with over 1,400 attorneys across 46 offices is seeking a Senior Auto Defense Litigation Attorney for its Madison, NJ office. This role offers a flexible hybrid or remote working arrangement and the opportunity to work on high-profile national client matters with substantial responsibility from day one.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a diverse litigation caseload from inception through resolution
• Collaborate closely with partners and colleagues in a team-oriented environment
• Handle all aspects of litigation including trial preparation, investigation, court appearances, mediations, and depositions
• Provide timely case updates and strategic guidance to clients through regular reporting and direct communication

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
• Admission to practice law in New Jersey
• Minimum of 8 years of defense litigation experience, preferably in personal injury, general liability, catastrophic injury, or transportation defense
• Exceptional communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to build strong client relationships and deliver outstanding service
• Experience managing complex matters and client-facing responsibilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Legal project management experience
• First chair trial experience

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $190,000 to $225,000 USD
• Eligibility for discretionary bonuses
