Overview
A leading legal services organization is seeking experienced ESG Attorneys to support top Fortune 500 clients. This role involves advising on sustainability, ESG, and climate-related legal risks, ensuring compliance with evolving regulations, and integrating ESG considerations into corporate governance.
Responsibilities
- Advise business units on sustainability, ESG, and climate-related legal risks, including regulatory compliance and disclosures
- Support ESG reporting requirements such as SEC, CSRD, and TCFD, ensuring alignment with global standards
- Collaborate with compliance, finance, and operations teams to embed sustainability into corporate governance and strategy
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments related to climate, human rights, and supply chain due diligence, translating them into actionable guidance
Requirements
- Licensed attorney in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, environmental, or corporate governance law, either in law firm or in-house settings
- Strong familiarity with ESG frameworks and regulations, including SEC climate rules, CSRD, SASB/ISSB, and TCFD
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate complex legal concepts effectively to non-legal stakeholders
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated total compensation for full-time attorney roles ranges from $104,500 to $325,000 per year
- Compensation for non-attorney roles ranges from $71,250 to $309,750 per year
- Compensation decisions consider experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs
