WC Defense Attorney- 100% Remote

Overview

A legal team is seeking a Workers' Compensation (WC) Defense Attorney for a 100% remote position. This role offers flexible billing requirements and a bonus structure, with a salary range of $150,000 to $220,000 per year. The position involves handling a variety of workers' compensation defense cases and requires a motivated attorney who can work independently and deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Provide aggressive representation for clients throughout all phases of workers' compensation defense litigation, from case inception to resolution.
• Analyze complex legal and factual issues and conduct thorough legal research.
• Develop and present defense strategies independently.
• Prepare and draft legal documents including pleadings, briefs, opinions, orders, and subpoenas.
• Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences.
• Conduct and defend depositions of claimants, medical personnel, and other parties.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients during mediation and informal settlement conferences.
• Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and case updates.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Bar in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney.
• Proven success in workers' compensation defense litigation.
• In-depth knowledge of current workers' compensation laws, regulations, court rules, and procedures.
• Strong advocacy, research, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases and projects.
• High level of independence and initiative.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency with legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work remotely and effectively use digital communication tools.
