Associate Attorney, Arizona

Location: Remote (must be currently located in Arizona to be considered)

Compensation: $90,000 / year

This position involves representing consumers who have been harassed or otherwise deceived by creditors and debt collectors. The role provides broad responsibilities and exposure to a range of consumer protection matters, including transactional and civil litigation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and supervise a heavy, diversified caseload of clients in Arizona
• Communicate with clients regarding their respective matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda
• Review and draft agreements
• Communicate with opposing parties to resolve and/or settle claims
• Conduct legal research on simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law
• Provide day-to-day communication with the main office exclusively via telephone and electronic means (e-mail, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
• Travel for in-court appearances (role is based from home)

Requirements

• Currently admitted to practice law in Arizona
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm
• Superior organizational and time-management skills to meet strict deadlines
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with senior management and employees at all levels
• Strong legal research skills; proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus
