Associate Attorney, Arizona

The organization is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to support its consumer protection practice, including transactional and civil litigation matters. Because the organization’s headquarters are in New York, this role requires communication with the main office exclusively via telephone and electronic means.

Candidates must be currently located in Arizona to be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and supervise a heavy and diversified caseload of clients in Arizona
• Communicate with clients regarding their respective matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda; review and draft agreements
• Communicate with opposing parties to resolve and/or settle claims
• Conduct legal research on simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law
• Work from home while being required to travel for in-court appearances

Requirements

• Currently admitted to practice law in Arizona
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm
• Superior organizational and time-management skills to meet strict deadlines
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with senior management and employees at all levels
• Strong legal research skills (proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus)
