Associate Attorney, Boca Raton, FL

Overview

The organization is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its consumer protection practice in Florida. This is a remote position, with communication with the main office (New York) handled exclusively via telephone and electronic means (e.g., e-mail, Microsoft Teams, etc.).

Eligibility / Location Requirement

Candidates should be within commutable distance or currently located in Boca Raton, FL to be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and supervise a heavy and diversified caseload of the organization’s clients in Florida
• Communicate with clients regarding their respective matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda; review and draft agreements; and handle other related document preparation
• Communicate with opposing parties to resolve and/or settle claims
• Conduct legal research related to simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law
• Work from home, with possible travel required for in-court appearances

Requirements

• Must be currently admitted to practice law in Florida
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm
• Superior organizational and time-management skills to meet strict deadlines
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with senior management and employees at all levels
• Strong legal research skills (proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus)
