Associate Attorney

Overview

A growing plaintiff-side California-based law firm is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Associate Attorney to join their legal team. The firm specializes in labor and employment law and personal injury, with a focus on PAGA (Private Attorneys General Act) cases.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing legal documents and case files related to PAGA cases.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Participate in depositions and hearings as needed.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategies and case management.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and legal advice.
• Stay current on laws and regulations related to labor and employment matters.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in California.
• Experience handling PAGA cases is required.
• Familiarity with labor and employment law is a plus.
• Knowledge of wage and hour regulations is advantageous.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with depositions.
• Litigation experience in labor and employment law.
• Understanding of wage and hour laws.

This position is based in California.
