Overview
An established law firm with multiple offices statewide is seeking Associate Attorneys specializing in Workers' Compensation defense. The firm primarily focuses on defending workers' compensation claims and related litigation, serving a diverse client base including risk managers, insurers, and claims administrators.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and detail-oriented legal advocacy in workers' compensation cases
- Manage defense litigation with strong preparation and clear communication
- Utilize case management software in a paperless environment
- Collaborate with legal secretaries and assistants for case support
Requirements
- Active membership in the California State Bar in good standing (required)
- Minimum of 2-5 years of defense experience in workers' compensation
- Personable and friendly character
- Ability to identify urgency and prioritize tasks effectively
- Confident, articulate, and persuasive in both speech and writing
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Comfortable working remotely or in a hybrid setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with case management software
- Interest in both partnership track and salaried compensation options
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $140,000 - $220,000 per year
