Attorney (Remote)

Overview

This role is for an Attorney working remotely on a part-time, contractor basis. The position involves providing senior-level legal review and final validation of site control, interconnection, and permitting-related documentation for energy infrastructure projects. The focus is on ensuring compliance with PJM generator interconnection procedures and FERC-regulated processes. The role also includes contributing expertise to the training of next-generation AI systems in the energy industry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct senior-level legal review and final validation of documentation related to site control, interconnection, and permitting for energy infrastructure projects.
• Ensure project materials comply with PJM generator interconnection procedures, queue-readiness expectations, site control requirements, and applicable FERC-regulated processes.
• Review escalated issues concerning site control, interconnection, and permitting, providing guidance on resolution and mitigation.
• Develop and maintain expert knowledge of PJM interconnection compliance, FERC regulations, energy permitting, and site control review.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of PJM interconnection compliance, FERC regulations, energy permitting, and site control review, particularly related to generator interconnection and energy infrastructure projects.
• Experience providing senior-level legal review and final validation of complex documentation with strong attention to detail and risk mitigation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex issues and develop effective solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and provide expert guidance.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and attention to detail.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly rate: $100 - $135
