Overview

This role is part of a collaborative Legal team that supports cross-functional work across customer contracts, privacy, marketing, IP, employment law, and risk management. The position reports directly to the General Counsel and focuses on contracting and negotiation support for go-to-market and product teams.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including SaaS subscription agreements, MSAs, SOWs, RFPs, and NDAs.
  • Serve as the primary legal point of contact for Sales, partnering with Account Executives and sales leadership across the deal cycle to structure terms, manage risk, and close deals efficiently.
  • Partner with Deal Desk, Revenue Operations, and Finance on pricing, discounting, and other revenue-sensitive deal terms.
  • Advise on data privacy and security terms in customer agreements, in coordination with Privacy and Security teams as needed.
  • Own and continuously refine contract templates, fallback positions, and negotiation playbooks to improve consistency, reduce turnaround time, and support sales self-service on standard terms.
  • Negotiate and manage partner, reseller, and vendor/procurement agreements to support GTM and business operations needs.
  • Support contract renewals, upsells, and amendments, and address post-signature contract interpretation questions from Customer Success and Account Management.
  • Identify and help implement ways to streamline and scale the contracting process, including AI-assisted contract drafting and review.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience negotiating and structuring commercial agreements, with a focus on SaaS/technology transactions (in-house and/or law firm experience considered).
  • JD from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state Bar in good standing.
  • Knowledge of core SaaS commercial concepts and working knowledge of data privacy frameworks.
  • Strong business judgment and the ability to make pragmatic, risk-adjusted decisions independently and under time pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate legal concepts for non-legal business stakeholders and build trusted relationships with Sales and other go-to-market partners.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and high volume of concurrent matters.
  • Experience with AI-assisted contracting tools.
