In House Contracts Manager/ Paralegal

Overview

This temporary, full-time contract role (40 hours per week) supports an in-house legal team on a high-volume contract review workflow. The position is fully remote and begins with a one-month term that may be extended.

You will review incoming customer contracts using the client’s AI license and contracts playbook, apply redlines to align with preferred positions and approved fallback language, and send marked-up drafts along with a short summary of key issues to an internal stakeholder for return to the customer.

Responsibilities

• Manage intake, routing, and tracking of contract requests through the legal department’s contracting workflow under the direction of a senior attorney
• Review incoming customer contracts using the client’s AI license and contracts playbook
• Redline agreements to match the client’s preferred positions and approved fallback language
• Send marked-up drafts and a short summary of key issues to the internal stakeholder, who will return them to the customer

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Prior experience in contract administration, contracts management, or as a contracts paralegal; or other similar digital document/process management experience
• Demonstrated experience with legal technology (e.g., contract lifecycle management platforms, e-signature tools, contract repositories)
• Proficiency with general office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Forms, and Copilot
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple contracts and competing deadlines
• Comfortable communicating and collaborating across departments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Outstanding professional references

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience reviewing commercial contracts such as MSAs, NDAs, order forms, and SaaS agreements
• Comfort applying a playbook consistently, using AI-assisted review tools, and working quickly and accurately with little supervision
• Experience with Harvey or similar legal AI platforms strongly preferred

• Pay: Competitive compensation commensurate with experience. Pay for contract roles is based on multiple factors including work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference.
