Overview

This contract Legal Consultant role is remote and supports legal research, analysis, and drafting across a range of US law topics.

• Estimated commitment: 10-40 hrs/week

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive legal analysis on various US law topics, providing nuanced insights and guidance.
• Perform in-depth legal research to support project objectives and ensure information is current and accurate.
• Draft, review, and edit legal content, including memoranda, opinions, contracts, and other relevant documents.
• Assess and provide structured feedback on legal texts for clarity, accuracy, and alignment with best practices.
• Collaborate remotely with multidisciplinary teams to refine project deliverables and address complex legal scenarios.
• Contribute to content quality assurance by identifying errors, inconsistencies, or ambiguities in legal materials.

Requirements

• Active license to practice law with strong academic credentials.
• Strong relevant experience at a top-tier US law firm, with exposure to varied practice areas.
• Proven abilities in legal analysis, research, and drafting across a range of legal subjects.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience reviewing legal content.
• Track record of successful remote collaboration and participation in multidisciplinary projects.
• Experience with quality assurance and rubric-based evaluation of legal documents is a plus.
