Overview
This fully remote role involves owning how case teams learn the organization’s standards and become productive quickly. The Learning Solutions Specialist partners closely with case teams and senior subject matter experts to design, deliver, and continuously improve training for new and existing staff.
Responsibilities
- Case manager and paralegal onboarding: Design and deliver onboarding that covers case management systems, demand package construction, client communication standards, and escalation protocols so new hires produce usable work within their first weeks.
- Attorney and pre-litigation attorney onboarding: Build onboarding that covers firm case strategy standards, settlement targets, file ownership expectations, and internal systems in partnership with Managing Attorneys and senior attorneys who validate legal content and judgment calls.
- Case manager backup support: Provide coverage and support for staff gaps when not leading training sessions, using personal injury industry knowledge and operational familiarity.
- Subject matter expert partnership (learning design vs. legal ownership): Serve as a learning SME for anything requiring legal judgment by partnering with attorneys and case management leadership. Own learning design and delivery; do not own legal strategy or case decisions.
- Ongoing training based on real performance signals: Run training responsive to actual performance signals, quality scores, case velocity, and compliance findings rather than a fixed annual calendar.
- Assessment and certification: Create and maintain role-specific assessments and certification checkpoints to make ramp time and skill gaps visible to leadership.
- Field-ready materials: Develop training materials, job aids, and quick reference guides suited to fast-paced, high-volume caseloads.
- Measurement and reporting: Track ramp time, quality outcomes, and training effectiveness by role, and report results to Learning Solutions leadership.
- Build credibility with tenured staff: Earn trust quickly by demonstrating case-team fluency rather than relying on authority.
Requirements
- Experience working within a personal injury law firm or other professional services environment with credentialed staff (attorneys, paralegals, case managers, medical providers, clinicians).
- Expertise with Filevine (case management/CRM platform) or another directly related CRM (e.g., Salesforce, Clio, SmartAdvocate) or equivalent systems in another regulated industry.
- Demonstrated ability to build training for both process-heavy roles (case managers, paralegals) and judgment-heavy roles (attorneys), or a clear approach to both.
- Strong instructional design skills, including needs analysis, curriculum design, assessment design, and measurement of training effectiveness.
- Ability to partner with senior subject matter experts (attorneys, Managing Attorneys) and incorporate input without losing ownership of learning design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex material for a mixed-tenure, mixed-background audience.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent training builds in a high-volume, fast-changing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years designing and delivering training in a fast-paced, production-driven personal injury legal environment (other relevant settings may be considered: compliance, insurance, financial services, healthcare operations, or similar regulated/high-volume environments).

- Background operating in fast-evolving start-up environments with still-maturing organizational structures.
