Legal Counsel Insured Litigation - Located in Denver, CO

Overview

Legal Counsel – Insured Litigation position available, located in Denver, CO. This is a remote role with a salary range of $155,000 to $185,000.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate between outside counsel and employees.
• Assist with collection of data for discovery responses; prepare, review, and approve discovery responses.
• Provide sound and practical legal advice to operations and support departments.
• Conduct legal research on diverse substantive matters as needed.
• Review, assess, and resolve liability complaints, threats, claims, and manage litigation.
• Participate in risk management legal processes and risk mitigation improvements.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of the organization's services, solutions, and business models.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree with strong academic credentials.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience.
• Admission and good standing in any jurisdiction with authorization to practice law in Texas or Colorado.
• Significant experience in medical malpractice, auto liability, and general liability litigation.
• Experience in aviation liability and workers compensation preferred but not required.
• Ability to synthesize complex issues and provide straightforward, practical solutions.
• Strong analytical skills, work ethic, and sound legal judgment.
• Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities.
• Ability to simplify complex technical information and communicate clearly and persuasively.
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with internal stakeholders and clients.
• Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to understand both detailed legal issues and the broader business context.
• Effective communication skills to articulate contracting issues to diverse audiences.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $155,000 to $185,000.
