Legal Counsel US

Overview

This role involves serving as Legal Counsel with a focus on commercial contracts within the warehousing and logistics technology sector. The position is remote within the US and requires the candidate to have the right to work in the US without sponsorship. The Legal Counsel will join a small, commercially focused legal team and take ownership of a broad range of legal and compliance responsibilities, primarily supporting US commercial contracting needs.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate customer and supplier contracts for the US/North America, acting as the lead negotiator in commercial discussions.
• Collaborate with Procurement, IT, and other business units to review supplier agreements, advise on terms, conduct risk assessments, and secure necessary approvals.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations across operating markets.
• Develop, implement, and support compliance programs and training initiatives.
• Support management of disputes, litigation, or other legal proceedings involving the company.

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with at least one US state bar.
• Experience in commercial contract management and negotiation.
• Prior experience as an in-house legal practitioner, preferably within a technology or SaaS business.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear, practical advice and influence non-legal stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of US employment law, including right-to-work checks and visa sponsorship processes.
• Exposure to international employment law across multiple jurisdictions.
